A rare out-take/prop malfunction. |
And in case you missed the earlier films:
Poop gets his wings in this one.
And the origin story is here.
Happy weekend, my darlings.
xo
p.s. It bears repeating that Unbored is a wonderful book, and the place where the kids really got a foot in the door to the mechanics of animation. Just one of many, many things that book inspired them to try and do, including the hacking of Candyland into an actual strategy game that doesn't make you want to saw your own wrists apart with the Plumpy card.
I got goosebumps at the beach scene.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. The knee in the beach scene is my favorite!! So impressive, and needs to go on our "must learn to do" list!
ReplyDeleteI love that all of the poops' friends and relations are Lego guys. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteTypical Newman fashion - HER house has the blue lamp and SHE calls him. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteNice disco ball and consulting work. I'm curious - how long does it take to create such a masterpiece? Set designs, filming, editing, dubbing in sound and musical accompaniment?
ReplyDeleteDale, I would say that this one took about a week altogether of not-full-time work, but *a lot* of work. The set designs are time-consuming, as is the animation itself. He seems to do the editing and sound in about a day. You're sweet to ask. xo
DeleteAh, the long-awaited concluding chapter of the Turd Trilogy. Sure to be a classic.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first introduction to Poop (and Mrs. Poop). You must be soooo proud of Ben. Very creative. The disco ball was a great touch. And their voices are perfect. I'll check out the first two. Great job, Ben!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! My daughter asked, "how can poop wear a wedding dress?" My son said, "that's not poop, that's bride of poop." ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI can't see me lovin' nobody but Poop for all my liiiiife......
ReplyDeleteLove it!
When you're with me baby, the skies will be bloop, for all my liiiiiife... (stuck in my head ;) )
DeleteThat is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI want the soundtrack. Is Ben still working on the ukulele? Wasn't that Mr. Poop's original groove?
ReplyDeleteEncore! Encore, Ben!!! Keep on keepin' on.
...and for some reason miss poop being walked down the aisle by the Lego man (was that her father?) completely cracked me up!!!
ReplyDeleteVery clever and hilarious! I loved it when all the lego people raised their arms at the wedding.
ReplyDeleteTwo thumbs up for Bride of Poop! Outstanding work, Ben!

ReplyDeleteI know this may be because I am a park ranger but the poops have such a great moose poopy quality I can't help wondering what animal the poops are from? Humans? Ungulates? Future Episodes?!? I smell a spinoff!
ReplyDeleteAs I was watching Ben's (brilliant) movie, I was thinking, "would this be as funny if I didn't know Ben." And yes, yes it would.
