waterlogged

Great Pond, Race Point, Herring Cove, Head of the Meadow, Marconi, synchronized swimming, cans of lemon-lime seltzer, striped bass crudo with "jalapeno water." Birdy's splash-ball question at the pond: "Can you play monkey in the middle, you know, professionally?" Cape Cod.

Hope you're all cool, damp, and thriving.

  3. We are in Eastham for 14 days on first encounter beach. It is my goal to remain barefoot the entire time. Oh, and read as much as possible as I will not have the time to pick up another book until we return to Eastham next summer! Came here looking for book recommendations. The kids are at Salt Pond clamming for dinner. Nothing tastes better.

  4. Nothing to do with this, but your piece in Brain, Child - about a letter to your younger self - was beautiful and brilliant. I so identified with it, my own children being 8 and almost 7. Thanks for such a wonderful piece of writing!

  5. After a rough day, I can't tell you how much this little post brightened me right up and made me smile. To me, you are always a good reminder of what is important in life. Thanks so much for that!

  6. With the heat in Colorado and my job out on the tarmac at DIA, I am neither cool, damp nor thriving. Glad you guys are, though!
